Our Vision
The vision of the Leadership Academy of Arizona (LAAZ) is to inspire curiosity, excellence, and leadership for a lifetime of impact. The school envisions a vibrant K–8 learning community where every individual is empowered to lead with integrity, think critically, and contribute meaningfully to a diverse and changing world.
Through rigorous academics, enrichment opportunities, and leadership development, the Academy prepares students to thrive in life as compassionate, resilient, and productive citizens.

Our Mission
When the Leadership Academy of Arizona fully delivers on its mission — to ensure that students, staff, and families are happy, healthy, supported, engaged, and challenged within a culture that fosters growth, resilience, and lifelong learning— it will achieve measurable and lasting success in four key domains:
1. Academic Mastery and Growth
Students receive rigorous, evidence-based instruction aligned to Arizona State Academic Standards. Through data-driven practices and differentiated support, every learner is supported in making measurable academic growth year over year.
2. Leadership and Character Development
Leadership and social-emotional learning are embedded into daily instruction. Students develop twelve core leadership traits that strengthen confidence, integrity, engagement, and positive school culture.
3. Enrichment, Creativity, and Curiosity
Students have equitable access to enriching experiences in the arts, technology, languages, health, and physical education. Project-based learning and real-world experiences spark curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
4. Whole-Community Growth
A strong school culture supports students, families, and staff through collaboration, belonging, and shared responsibility. Engagement, satisfaction, and retention reflect a community committed to growth, wellness, and resilience.
